The starting point

I am middle class shooting for more. I am currently working on a 9 to 5 job and earning about 67000euros/year. Because I have some job perks such as company apartment and company car my expenses are low. My total assets when starting writing this blog are 145309.87EUR, 89993.69USD and an apartment in an Eastern European mid size town that I do not rent out. In this blog I describe what I do to become fully financially independent, or in other words, how I set up my own business so that I do not have to work for others and I can choose my collaborators. As you can see from the numbers I gave you above, that I can save somewhere around 20000EUR/year, therefore to get to say 1 million I would need 50 years. That's too much so I have to do something else. You can follow my story here, in real time.

A few more things about me: PhD in a hard science from a top US university, working as reserarcher/new product developer in a multinational.
